With profound sadness, we say goodbye to James Clark Ortkiese in Memphis, Tennessee, born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Though James Clark may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those James Clark touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his father Buzz Ortkiese. He is survived by: his mother Nancy Ortkiese; his wife Katie Pattat Ortkiese; his children, Harold "Harry" Tapp Ortkiese and Ruby McPhail Ortkiese; his sister Kate; and his pets, Miss Pancakes, Chai and Latte.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church (4851 Park Ave, Memphis, TN 38117). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
