He is survived by: his children, Pam Sere (Steve), Tony Phifer (Bonnie) and Dana Phifer; his grandchildren, Lauren, Matt, Jake, Andrew and Ben; his great grandchildren, Holden, Lily and Logan; and his sister Irma Caviness.

The family requests any donations in his memory be made to The American Cancer Society.
