It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James G. Moffett (Memphis, Tennessee), born in Converse, Louisiana, who passed away on July 24, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Peggy Lee Ford of Memphis, TN.; his parents, William Oscar Moffett and Dovie Anderson Bankhead; his stepfather Charles W. Tucker; his son-in-law John Andrew Smith; and his granddaughter Kerri Lynn Castello.

He is survived by: his children, Marla Jane Grubbs (Steve) of Tullahoma, TN, Lora Lee Castello (Sergio) of Matthews, NC and James Timothy Moffett (Beth) of Gold River, CA; his brother Charles Milton Tucker (Patricia) of Jacks Creek, TN; his stepbrother Jesse Bankhead (Betty) of Lake Murvaul, TX; his close friend Hannah Plumlee of Memphis, TN; and his grandchildren, Jonathan Grubbs, Shaun Grubbs, Katie Castello, Walker Castello, Monica Yearwood and Sofia Milner. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
