He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ocie Leck Black and Marjorie Thompson Black; his brother Williams Ray Black (Bill); his significant other Cathleen Black; his children, John West (Mary Alice) and Molly Craycraft (Matt); his granddaughter Mary Evelyn; his family Big Green Egg; and his close friends, Brittany Spaniels Ginnie, Bella and Lucy Mae.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests any memorials for Jim be made to either the Hope Church Memphis Endowment Fund or the Neighborhood Christian Center.
