He was predeceased by : his parents, James Highland (Jimmy) and Virginia Highland (Bill); and his wife Marilynn. He is survived by : his sister Mary Virginia Reeves; and his sons, Michael Highland (Stephanie), Win Wingfield (Rachel) and Monte Wingfield (Angela). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Canale Funeral Directors (2700 Union Ave Extended, Memphis, TN 38112).
