She was predeceased by: her husband J. Stewart Murphy; and her parents, Dorothy Talbott Simms and Edward Simms. She is survived by: her sister Barbara Simms Keck; her daughters, Sharon Murphy Hayes (Michael), Mary Jane Murphy Lemon (Patrick), Debbie Murphy Howard and Suzanne Murphy Bullock (Lee); and her grandchildren, Jennifer Griffin, Ryan Hayes, Austin Hayes-Treherne, Ashley Allen, Wilson Howard, Jay Lemon, Murphy Lemon, Ben Bullock, Bridget Bullock, Brendan Bullock and Brooks Bullock.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 9th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church (8151 Chimneyrock Blvd., Memphis, TN 38016). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 9th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
