With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jean Arthur Heffernan of Memphis, Tennessee, who passed away on January 17, 2021 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband H. Patrick Heffernan; and her siblings, James Willard Arthur (Brock), Douglas Layton Arthur, Mary Arthur Steen, Melba Arthur McDonald, John Roy Arthur, Jr. and William Ralph Arthur.

She is survived by: her siblings, James Roy and Lucille Arthur; her daughters, Edie Lynn Heffernan (Chuck Coleman) of Memphis and Colleen Heffernan Stewart (Jason) of Germantown; her grandsons, Patrick Leatherwood (Lauren), Connor Stewart and Carson Stewart; her great grandchild Chandler Jean Leatherwood; her sisters, Faye Arthur Kennedy of Munford and Beverly Arthur Wood of Germantown; and her friends, Barbara Crawford, Gloria Billingsley, Jackie Taylor, Janice Mobley and Dionne Bobo. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Please wear a mask as COVID protocols will be in place.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Christian Brothers High School Annual Fund or the Alzheimer's Association.
