She was predeceased by: her parents, Gilliam Hicks and Cornelia Williams Hicks; her siblings, Gilliam Swink Hicks, Jr. and Anne Marie Hicks Cosser; and her grandsons, John Swink Fite and William Charles Fite.
She is survived by: her husband William Rayford Priester; her children, Shan Priester Fite (Matt Fite) and William; her granddaughters, Halle Hicks Priester (Danny Gross) and Elizabeth Marie Ukwu; and her great grandchildren, Dorothy Louise Gross and Virgil Matthias Ukwu. She is also survived by family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Germantown Presbyterian Church to help fund their partnership with the Rising Together Foundation (RTF).
