It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jeannette Hollenberg Birge Thompson in Memphis, Tennessee, who passed away on July 23, 2025, at the age of 104, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Tannen Hollenberg and Ruth Hollenberg; her husbands, Arthur Birge and David Thompson; her sister Marion Maury; and her stepson David Thompson, Jr..
She is survived by: her daughters, Marion Morgan (late Sam), Jeannette Birge and Barbara Birge of Charlotte, NC; her stepsons, Ted Thompson (Nancy) of Mountain Home, ID and John Thompson (Nancy); and her stepdaughter-in-law Mary K. Thompson. She is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews who have lost their beloved family.
A celebration of life was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Edward Chapel at Trezevant Manor (177 N Highland St, Memphis, TN 38111).
