He was predeceased by: his daughter Shannon Rowley. He is survived by: his son Bryan Aven (Natalie) of Adamsville, TN; his siblings, Leslie Aven of Sommerville, TN and Ernie Aven (Lisa) of Texas; and his grandchildren, Hunter, Nolan and Mikaila. He is also survived by 3 great grandchildren.

“❤ I FIRST MET JOHN AVEN IN 1970.. ON JANUARY 23 2021. JOHN GOT TO SEE HIS MOTHER 🌹 AND HIS DAUGHTER 🌹SHANNON🌹 THRU THE YEARS. JOHN AND I WORKED TOGETHER AT THREE PLACES. IN 1973. CONSTRUCTION.. AT A SITE ON SHELBY DRIVE. JOHN SOMEHOW BECAME THE CREW LEADER. JOHN HAD TO MEET THE BOSS FOR OUR INSTRUCTIONS. UNFORTUNATELY JOHN COULD NEVER REMEMBER THE INSTRUCTIONS..😳WE HA TO WING IT😳 IN 1974 JOHN AND ERNIE MOM TOLD US TO GET A JOB AT THE BOARD OF EDUCATION. IN 1975 JOHN”

“JOHN IN THE FALL OF 1975 JOHN GOT HIRED ATTHE MEMPHIS BULK MAIL CENTER.. IN FEBRUARY 1976. I WAS HIRED THERE TOO. WE RODE TO WORK FOR A FEW YEARS. JOHN HAD A UNIQUE SENSE OF HUMOR. ON THE TO THE MBMC. ONE MORNING JOHN WAS USING EYE DROPS... JOHN YELLED SHANNON PUT LIGHTER FLUID IN HIS EYEDROPS. I ALMOST WENT THE THE WINDSHIED. I COULDN'T QUIT LAUGHING. THEN HE LOOKED AT ME AND SAID ❤ AGAIN ❤ LOVE JOE HERBERT. MY LOVE TO THE WHOLE AVEN FAMILY. 🌹R I P 🌹”
