He is survived by: his sister Patsy Whitehead (Pert) of Tunica, MS; his children, John Clay III Phillips (Heather) of Somerville, TN, Gina Phillips of Whiteville, TN, Lindsay Johnson of Star City, AR and Jeremy Phillips of Memphis, TN.; his grandchildren, Sean, Kyle, Ellie and Nathan; and his friend Ronnie Burch.
A celebration of life was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Olive Branch Country Club (7558 Germantown Rd, Olive Branch, MS 38654).
