He was predeceased by: his parents, John Stokes and Anita Stokes; and his sister Anne. He is survived by: his wife Anne; his son Jack Stokes (Carol); his grandchildren, Cameron, John and Will; his daughter Mim Stokes Brown (Buck); his grandchildren, Adeline, Cabell, Dean and Miriam; his daughter Elizabeth Stokes Bran (Mark); his grandchildren, Jessica, Kristina, Alex, Annie and Matthew; and his caregivers, Bettie Love, Jean Winters, Tracy Johnson and Quinton Woods. He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
