He was predeceased by: his parents, Anna V. Bowen-Hudson and Waddell. He is survived by: his wife Sara Lewis; his children, Joanna Bowen of Cordova, TN and Tony Bowen of Oakland, TN; and his brothers, Howard Bowen (Doris) of Atlanta and Ronald Bowen (Sherry) of Tulsa.
