He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph William Schmittou Sr. and Annice Etheleen Schmittou; his wife Susan Jill Schmittou; and his sister Marsha Morris. He is survived by: his children, Joseph William Schmittou III (Tugce Schmittou) and Jill Elisabeth Schmittou Skinner (Christopher Skinner); and his grandsons, Joseph William Schmittou IV and Nolan Skinner. He is also survived by extended family and lifelong friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Joseph's memory to St Jude.
