She was predeceased by: her parents, Guy Melvin Cox and Doshia Davis Cox; her siblings, Mary Love Cox Kasselberg (Lyman), Roy Melvin Cox (Frances), Victor Davis Cox (Jackie) and James Lewis Cox (Hope); her former husbands, Dr. Malcolm Guy Taylor, Rev. Wesley Pruden and John W. Prather; and her husband Robert D. Westlake.

She is survived by: her children, Way Little Rock and Joyce Mae Cox Westlake; her niece Sherry Lynn Cox Payne; her nephew Victor Davis Cox, Jr.; her stepchildren, Wesley Pruden, Jr. and Jeanie Ann Pruden Settle (Bobby); her stepgrandson Tony Prather; her children, Dr. Daniel Guy Taylor (Judi) of Memphis, TN and Mary Janet Florian of Oriental, NC; her grandchildren, Erin C. Taylor Hardin (Josh) of Birmingham, AL, Grant Taylor Florian (Sara), Rio Branco and Brazil; her stepchildren, Joan Pruden Guthridge and John Wade Prather (Jane); her stepgrandsons, James and Jeff Guthridge (Trena); her pet Riff; her child Slot; Fiona C. Hardin and Ambrose Malcolm Hardin.

She was also in a Silver Sneakers exercise class until the Covid pandemic.
