She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles and Madge; her husband Thomas Bechtel; and her sister Kay Smith Reid of Spartanburg. She is survived by: her sisters, Charleen Smith Searight of Austin and Vicki Smith Weber of Memphis. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
