Kathaline Harbison Obituary

Kathaline Eva Bigelow Harbison, 91, was called home to the Lord on January 8, 2021 surrounded by love and with family at her side.

Kathaline was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She treasured time with her children, and later, her grandchildren and great grandchildren. For many years, Kathaline was an active member of the United Methodist Church and her local community. She loved to play bingo at the senior center, participate in activities with her Southside Class of 1947, and gather with her fellow Red Hat Society sisters. She served, honored and loved all people well; she was a friend to all and will be missed by many.

Kathaline was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Lee Harbison, her parents, Robert and Eula Bigelow, her twin brothers, Robert and Ralph Bigelow, and her daughter, Wendy Harbison Raburn.

She is lovingly survived by her two daughters, Debra K. Harbison, Tammy Harbison Houghton (Shawn), five grandchildren Meagan Dees (Clay), Madison Raburn, Morgan Morris (Allen), Sarrah Kathaline Houghton, Ethan Houghton, and three great grandchildren, Hannah Dees, Bentley Morris, and Silas Dees.

Visitation and a graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 14. Visitation will be 12:30 p.m.-2:00 p.m. with a graveside service at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Poplar.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made locally to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
