He was predeceased by: his mother Louise McWaters (Bebe). He is survived by: his father William McWaters (Bill); his children, Smith McWaters, Mary Virginia McWaters (Boo) and Billy McWaters; his siblings, Bill McWaters (Penne) and Nancy Cowan (Tim); and his friend Kate Gould.

The family requests that memorials be sent to St. George's Independent School, 1880 Wolf River Boulevard, Collierville, TN 38017, Hope Church, Youth Villages, MIFA, Kosten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research, or the charity of one's choice.
