It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lela Bell Woods of Memphis, Tennessee, who passed away on February 9, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Addison Riddle and Ora Lee Payne Riddle; her husband Johnnie Lee Woods Jr.; her daughters, Rosie Marie Campbell and Earnestine Hughes; and her siblings, Orsby "Dude" Riddle, Leroy "Mane" Riddle, Anderson "Bay" Riddle, Addison "Bubba" Riddle, Troy Lee Riddle, Ida Mae Glover and Ada "Doll" Isom.
She is survived by : her daughter Mae Doria Franklin (Gregory) of Memphis, TN; and her siblings, Epson "Snook" Riddle (Louise) of Holly Springs, MS, Herman "Bent" Riddle of Holly Springs, MS and Katie Bell Rhine of Ashland, MS. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, 29 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family relatives, and friends.
