It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Letitia Leon Baron Jendras (Memphis, Tennessee), born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on December 15, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Letitia leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Letitia may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leon Baron and Jenny Baron; her sister Geraldine Strauch; and her in-laws, Alex and Wilma Jendras.
She is survived by: her husband Ron; her children, Jay Jendras (Fran) of Eudora, MS and Cheryl Bass (Mark) of Nesbit, MS; her granddaughters, Magen Houston of Southaven, MS and Mallory Benson (Patrick) of Bertram, TX.; and her sister Cynthia Grieshop of Lake Forest, IL.. She is also survived by her brothers-in-laws and their wives and children.
A Memorial Mass will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church Saturday, December 20, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. Any donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Christ the King Catholic Church or Tunica Humane Society.
