We announce the death of Loran Lee Laughlin in Memphis, Tennessee, who passed away on September 21, 2026, at the age of 78. Loran will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Loran will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Loran will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Loran’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dean Laughlin and Billye Laughlin (Montgomery); and his wife Cathy Wherry.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM and at 2:00 PM at the Collierville Funeral Home (3863 Bailey Station Rd, Collierville, TN 38017). Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
