Margaret Schaefer Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Margaret Schaefer of Memphis, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 27, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Elton Lott and Marian Nichols Lott; and her brother Lynn Elton Lott (Shirley). She is survived by: her husband William Wood Schaefer (Billy) of Memphis; her sons, William Mark Schaefer (Heather), Patrick Eugene Schaefer (Mary Lee) and Lee Wood Schaefer (Annie); her granddaughters, Emmy Schaefer Porchivina (Matthew), Sarah Schaefer Braden (Christian), Ellie Schaefer, Claire Schaefer, Ava Schaefer and Genevieve Schaefer; and her great grandchild Matthew Porchivina IV.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Memorial Park Funeral Home-Riverside Chapel (5668 Poplar Ave, Memphis, TN 38119). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family asks donations that be made to Le Bonheur Children's Hospital.
