Marshall leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Marshall’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. He was predeceased by: his father Marshall Benjamin Williams, Sr.; his stepfather Clarence Bell Johnson, Sr.; his mother Katherine Marlowe Johnson; and his siblings, James H. Johnson, Sr., Michael H. Johnson, Sherman R. Johnson, Sr. and Maxine P. Stewart.
He is survived by: his siblings, Clarence Bell Johnson, Jr. (Frances) of Memphis, Raymond Hugh Johnson (Malinda) of Little Rock and Eva Carol Stephens (James) of Indianola, Mississippi.; and his close friend Rickey Martin (Sherry). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 12:55 PM at the St. Mark's Missionary Baptist Church (940 S Lauderdale St, Memphis, TN 38126). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:15 AM at the West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery (4000 Forest Hill Irene Rd, Memphis, TN 38125).
