It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martha Ellen Oliphant Nichols (Memphis, Tennessee), who passed away on May 6, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Oliphant and Daisye Oliphant; and her siblings, Lloyd Gardner Oliphant, William Melvin Oliphant, Derald Wayne Oliphant, James Buford Oliphant and Helen Sue Cisneros.

She is survived by: her daughters, Missy Nichols Rainer (Jim), Michele Nichols Dennis (Reed) and MoMo; her grandchildren, Preston Dennis, Jimbo Rainer (Faye), Alex Rainer (Grace), Peter Rainer, Wil Rainer, Ellen Dennis and Daisye Rainer; her great grandchildren, Ruthie Rainer, James Rainer and William Rainer; and her sisters, Sybil Cook, Nell Cockrell and Kay Tutor (Dillard). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Care Ministry at Christ Church Memphis, Alzheimer's Association or charity of choice.
