She was predeceased by: her parents, Percy Simmons and Ora Lee Simmons; her husband Julius Turner; her sons, Reginald Vaughn, Gerald Turner and Nicol Turner; and her granddaughter Keierra McNeil.
She is survived by: her daughters, Tonya Kerr (Donald), Tammie Hester (Marvin) and Tiffany Shipp (Markell); her siblings, Percy Simmons (Mary), Mildred Robinson, Pearlie Simmons, Earnestine Caldwell (Robert), Brenda Joyce Hill (Orlanda), Brenda Jean Anderson of Memphis and Faye Taylor (Rufus) of Sacramento, California; and her siblings-in-law, Jacqueline Lee and Freddie Turner (Jacqueline). She is also survived by her nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.
