With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Hilliard (Memphis, Tennessee), born in Oxford, Mississippi, who passed away on February 7, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Lewis and Lillie Phillips Lewis; her husband Vernon Hilliard Sr.; and her brother Albert T. Lewis. She is survived by: her children, Minnie Johnson (Melvin), Vernon Hilliard, Jr. (Patricia) and Christopher Hilliard (Tanya); and her grandchildren, Vernon Hilliard III (Kimberly), Melvin Johnson III, Tammie Hilliard, Candace Thomas, Andre Hilliard (Adrienne), Marcellus Hilliard Sr., Nicholas Hilliard, Brandon Strong and Avery Hilliard. She is also survived by nineteen great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
