It is with sadness that the passing of Mary Jane Carloss in Memphis, Tennessee is shared. Mary Jane, born on November 10, 1945 in Covington, Tennessee, passed away on June 25, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Mary Jane will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honor Mary Jane by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Mary Jane is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Mary Jane’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She was predeceased by: her daughter Blair Blankenship; her sisters, Kim Henley and Camille Whitley; and her parents, Richard Aubrey Baxter, Jr. and Virginia Baxter (Black).
She is survived by: her husband Harry E. Carloss III; her daughter Laura Blankenship (Doug Blank); and her grandchildren, Thaddeus and Stephanie. She is also survived by animals, especially the birds.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to The Audubon Society or Rhodes College.
