As we bid Maxine Gibson farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Maxine Gibson is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Gibson and Bessie Gibson (Hood); her son Randy Darnell (Jeannie); her husband John G. Darnell; and her son Randall Darnell.

She is survived by: her children, Richard Darnell (Candace) and Lori Cothron (Jim). She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

The family ask that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or the American Heart Association.
