She was predeceased by: her parents, James W. Carroll and Lee D. Carroll. She is survived by: her husband Wayne Thompson; her daughters, Gina Guthrie (Matt), Emily Jamerson (Justin) and Angela Garrone (Ian Ferguson); her grandchildren, Rosemary Guthrie, John Guthrie, Leo Jamerson and Isaac Jamerson; and her brothers, James Carroll (Nancy) and Matt Carroll (Dianna).
In honor of Melissa's life and love for children the family asks that memorial donations be made to the Heart Program at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital.
