We announce the death of Michael Gordon Ellis of Memphis, Tennessee, who passed away on October 9, 2026, at the age of 79. Michael will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Michael will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Michael’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his wife Louise; and his parents, Alfred Ellis and Mary Bernadine Ellis. He is survived by: his children, Justin (Melissa), Zack (Rachel), Caycee (Scott) and Josh; and his sisters, Nancy Clary (Mike) and Jane Roberts (Joe). He is also survived by five grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Canale Funeral Home (2700 Union Ave Extended, Memphis, TN 38112).
