He was predeceased by: his parents, A. Lightman Jr. and Jean Lightman. He is survived by: his wife Joanie; his children, Michael Jr. (Suzana), Adam (Madeleine) and Ainsley (Wriley Gillen); his grandchildren, Sienna, Aidan, Lila, Beau, Emerson and Gabriel; and his siblings, Stephen Lightman (Sue) and Nancy Tashie (Jimmy). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and lifelong friends.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sanctuary of Temple Israel (1376 E Massey Rd, Memphis, TN 38120). A reception will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites those wishing to honor Michael's memory to consider a donation to Carnival Children's Charities or Le Bonheur Children's Hospital.
