He is survived by: his wife Judy; his children, Betsy Ringel Saslawsky (Andy) of Memphis, Jimmy Ringel (Janice) of Memphis and Jonathan Ringel (Deb Weisshaar) of Dunwoody, Georgia.; his grandchildren, Brad (Rebecca Hanai), Brian Ringel, Joel (Stephanie), Erin, Matthew Saslawsky, Lucy and Marcy Ringel; his great grandchild Sophie Saslawsky; and his caregivers, Sharon Banks, Robyn Boyd, Kesha Brown, Detra Ford, Rhonda Perry, Lisa Taylor and Julia Wallace.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Temple Israel, the Alzheimer's Association, or a charity of the donor's choice.
