He is survived by: his grandparents, Betty, Louis Vause, Hugh and Ruby Nelle Cowsert; his parents, Gene Vause and Mary Nelle Vause; his sister Betsy Vause Smith (Sean); his nephew Cooper Wilcox Smith; his niece Mary Grace Smith; his aunts and uncles, Patti Vause Dixon (Les), Edward Vause, Hugh Cowsert and Betty Cowsert Simmons (Bill); and his cousins, Anna Vause Sledge (Allen), Laura Simmons McMaster (Ron), Maggie Simmons Miller (Andy) and Sarah Cowsert Thomas (Johnathon).
