Though Ralph may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Ralph touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. He was predeceased by: his parents, Raorval Smith and Maybell Sorrell Smith; and his daughter-in-law Jenifer Loftin Smith. He is survived by: his wife Rita Mae Redmond; his children, Amanda Rhea Thompson (Hoyt), Matthew Ray Smith (Ashley) and Mark Lance Smith; his pet Elvis; and his grandchildren, Trace Thompson and Bennett Lance Thompson.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, which honors and supports our nation's heroes, and/or to any local humane society, reflecting his love for service and compassion for animals.
