He was predeceased by: his parents, Nat and Sylvia Stark Buring; and his brother Jerry Buring. He is survived by: his children, Melissa B. McKessy (Barney Pepper), Major Jonas L. Buring (Natalie) and Emily B. Vander Wert; his brother Arthur Buring (Mickey); and his grandchildren, Stark, Quint Miller, Chloe, Josh McKessy, Riley, Isabelle Buring and Sofie Vander Wert.
Raymond was a past Board Member of the Jewish Community Center, Riverview Kansas Community Day Care Center, Alzheimer Day Care, Paul & Leslie Belz B'Nai Brith. He was a volunteer at Memphis Botanic Gardens, Temple Israel's God's Unfinished Business, Synergy Foundation, Lifeblood, 24-gallon donor, and Collierville Literacy Council.
