He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Gordon (Lottie Mae Garrett Gordon) and Robert; his children, Tammy Gordon and Danny Ray Gordon; and his sisters, Betty Whitten, Mary Wilkerson, Ann Gregory, Carolyn Gordon and Cathy Huffman.
He is survived by: his wife Cindy Kennon Gordon; his sons, Bobby Gordon (Melanie), Robert Jr. Gordon (Brooke), Shane "Bubba" Gordon, Mark Gordon (Becky) and Chad Gordon (Amber); his stepchildren, Kim Moore (Jeff) and Christy Brownlee (Scott); and his siblings, Martha Rossell, Janie Frazier, Peggy Pickens, Barbara Steward, Brenda Shettles, Pam Foster, Deloris Kent, Teresa Moore and Tommy Gordon. He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
