He is survived by: his children, Kay Thompson Gurley (Gary) and Dr. Robert Knox Thompson III (Roxanne); his grandchildren, Jessica Gurley Skaggs (Sammy), Alexandra Thompson and Adam Gurley; and his great grandchildren, Jacob McDaniel, Kayla Gurley and Aiden Gurley.
