With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert Lee Richardson Jr. (Memphis, Tennessee), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 8, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Robert Lee farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Robert Lee is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert L. Richardson and Thelma C. Hastings; his wife Jane Richardson; and his son Dr. Robert "Bo" Richardson III (Dawn). He is survived by: his children, John Stewart (Joni), James "Randy" Richardson (Cathy), Susan Horn (Steve), June White (Dave), Hunter Mitchell (Lisa) and Dr. Gregg Mitchell (Amy). He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
The family will be having a private graveside service, and requests that any memorials be sent to either the American Heart Association, Christ Church Memphis, or the Richardson Family Educational Trust PO Box 1090 Paris, TN 38242-1090.
