He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Carter Sanford, Sr. and Jessie Alma Max Sanford; his brother Dr. Jack Sanford, Jr. of Memphis; his wife Ann Harrison Sanford; and his son Jeff Harrison Sanford.
He is survived by: his children, Robert "Rob" Max Sanford, Jr. (Daphne) and Erin O. Baddour (George Robert); his grandchildren, Britt Sanford, Max Sanford (Ashley), George Weston and Raegan Osborn Baddour; his great grandchildren, Kaia Lane Sanford and Bryce Carter Sanford; and his nieces, Annie Kate Worley, Shelley Owen and Jessica Tackett.
