He is survived by: his wife Sheryl (Onelio); his children, Paul, Wayne and Laura; his grandsons, Adam and Ben; his brother U. S. Congressman David R. Bowen; his niece Melissa Shuttleworth Lucas; his nephew Bruce B. Shuttleworth; his great-nephew Reece Shuttleworth; and his pet Rita.
