Rosalynn Baranese Gatewood Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Rosalynn Baranese Gatewood (Memphis, Tennessee), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 25, 2025 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Matthew Williams Jr. and Doris Jean Williams; and her siblings, Marlene Anderson and Sheldon Williams. She is survived by: her friends, Alecia, Charles Thurston, Margaret Williams Morgan, Leslie Weber and Diane Nedwood; her husband Milton Sr.; her sons, Milton Jr. (Monica Black), Jason and Reggie (Ciera Gatewood); her half-brother Wendell; her grandchildren, Zion, Reggie Jr., Jason Jr., McKenzie, Malia Pleas and Shane Black; her sibling's children, Marques Anderson and Pia Bogan (Mark Bogan Sr.); and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Jessica Espy Julien Bogan (Antoine), Mark Bogan Jr. and Aleah Bogan. She is also survived by cousins, extended family, and lifelong friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Harrison's Memorial Chapel, Inc. (3320 Millbranch Rd, Memphis, TN 38116). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Greater Faith Baptist Church (920 Haynes St, Memphis, TN 38114).
