He was predeceased by: his former wife Jenwyl Dean Ferrell; his wife Mary Elizabeth McDaniel; his parents, Floyd Estill McLain and Hallie Mae Cantrell; and his siblings, William Lafayette McLain, Charles Allen McLain, Jerry Andrew McLain Sr., Robert Floyd McLain, Dorothy Lee McLain, Shirley A McLain and Patricia Ann McLain.
He is survived by: his children, Roy Jr. (Sarah Watkins) and Helen Mae McLain (David Harp); his grandsons, John Allen McLain (Julia Larson) and Paul Michael Lanning (Leila Morrison); and his great grandchildren, Lucy Michelle Lanning, Caroline Elizabeth Lanning and Charles Michael Lanning.
The family requests that memorials be made to the Mid-South Food Bank.
