She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Russell Horner Patterson Jr. and Rebecca McRee Patterson; and her brother Dr. Russell Horner Patterson III. She is survived by: her husband David Jeffrey Harris; her children, Rebecca Harris Checkler (Joe) of New York City and William David Harris of Memphis; and her siblings, Carolyn Patterson Bradshaw and William McRee Patterson.
