He was predeceased by: his wife Aniece Crawford. He is survived by: his sons, David Crawford (Jane) of Aubrey, TX, Mark Crawford (Debbie) of Allen, TX and Jason Crawford (Branna) of Germantown, TN. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Sammy battled Parkinson's Disease for the last several years. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his honor to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
