We announce the death of Sidney Marvin Franklin (Memphis, Tennessee), who passed away on September 21, 2026, at the age of 86. Sidney will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Sidney will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Sidney’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Franklin; his brother Alvin Franklin; his children, Stephen Franklin (Stacy) and Amy O'Grady (Gary); and his grandchildren, Jack, Sam Franklin, Madelyn and Shannon O'Grady. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Levy Cooper Chapel in Temple Israel Cemetery View.
