He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Mariette; his daughters, Amalia Grace Pipkin (Daniel), Ellen Thomas Bolam (Chris) and Ivy Anderson Thomas; his stepchild Arend Kruger (Leah); his sisters, Joan Thomas, Beth Ploch (Tom) and Carol Blumeyer (Peter); and his grandchildren, Evelyn Pipkin, Luke Pipkin, Petra Tellez, Alexander Tellez, Kinley Kruger, Willa Kruger, Clara Kruger and John B. Kruger.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations are made to Midsouth Sober Living, a nonprofit organization lead by his daughter Grace Pipkin or to Thrive Memphis, a non profit special needs program, where his daughter Ivy Thomas attends.
