She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Doris Fortner and Frank Kelly Fortner; her sons, Dayton Reid Hedgepeth (Riley) and Frank Pearson Hedgepeth; the father of her children Steve Hedgepeth; her sisters, Ann Fortner Menendez (Ken) and Sandra Fortner Foley (Roy); her grandchildren, Sidney, Dayton, Hunt, Pearson, Mary Reid and Lillian Hedgepeth; and her husband David Sullivan. She was also cherished by two nieces, two nephews and many, many friends.
Under her direction, the race became one of the largest charity 5Ks in Memphis, supporting the life-saving work at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
