He was predeceased by: his father Thomas Whitelaw Murrey; and his father-in-law Fredrick Boone. He is survived by: his mother Betty McGill Murrey; his wife Amy Boone Murrey; his children, Joseph Whitelaw Murrey (Katherine) and Hannah Katherine Murrey; his brother Gavin Murrey; his mother-in-law Katherine Boone; his sister-in-law Kathy Ellen Butts (Ray); and his cousins, Jim Murrey (Angie), Ronnie Walker and Scotty Jones.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that all donations be made to the West Tennessee JDRF Chapter chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation where Tommy served as a board member.
