He is survived by: his son Walter Frank Stewart, Jr.; his sisters, Grace Mae Littlejohn, Virginia Jones, Helen Stewart and Fannie Hefling; his grandchildren, Latrell Stewart, Londyn Stewart and Carlito Stewart; his former wife Darlena Caston; his mother-in-law Helen Johnson; and his brother-in-law Antonio Johnson. He is also survived by children, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
