He was predeceased by: his siblings, Laney Downey and Myrna Steele. He is survived by: his children, Thomas Downey (Edna) and Terry Downey Herron (Lee Perry); his grandsons, Joseph Cataldo (Janie), Matthew Robert Herron and Jonathan Downey (Sarah); his great grandchild Austin Downey; his stepgrandchildren, Jessica Ramos and Chris Willingham; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Jack Willingham, Trevor Willingham, Joshua Ramos, Amy Willingham and Aliyah Ramos; and his sister Janelle Kempke. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
